The setting is 1930's New York, and young, pretty Lisa Carlisle is a would-be reporter desperate for a story. The Sultan of Zahara is visiting the city for some trade negotiations, and Lisa meets a mysterious woman in black who says she can get her an exclusive interview with the Sultan.

Lisa gets more than an interview. She gets bound, gagged and put in a packing crate, then shipped off to Zahara for the Sultan's harem! Thus begins Lisa's wild fantasy adventure, full of naked bondage, erotic torments and beautiful harem girls!

During her voyage to Zahara, innocent little Lisa learns all about the joys and frustrations of sensual bondage and erotic teasing at the hands of the woman in black.

When she arrives at the harem, her virginity is quickly discovered by the Sultan's boldly inquisitive wives, and she is locked into a chastity belt to await the return of the Sultan. In the following weeks, Lisa is taught the ways of the harem. The cruelly sensual women find endless ways to amuse themselves at her expense!

When the Sultan finally returns, he arranges a ceremony in a moonlit garden for Lisa's deflowering. But at the crucial moment he is interrupted, and Lisa is stolen by a notorious desert bandit called the Jackal. At the hands of the handsome Arab outlaw, Lisa is taught the ways of a man with a tied-up maid, and achieves fulfillment at long last!

This is a very different offering from my last B&D graphic novel, Valeria. Where Valeria was fairly hard SM, Opal is soft and sensual, more concerned with bondage and sexual teasing than with SM play. There are bits of whipping here and there, but the focus is on the sensuality of bondage.

When I first began Opal back in 1989, it was published as a serial in Bondage Life and Bondage Parade magazines. I ended Opal on a cliffhanger, with little Lisa slung naked and bound over a saddle, the bandits riding off into the desert with her.

I have always intended to finish up the story and publish it myself, as a full-length graphic novel. The years went by, and I just never seemed to be in a position to do it. Fans kept asking me about it, and all I could tell them was “someday.”

Well, someday is here. I can’t afford to have it printed yet, but this is the digital age, and I’m releasing it as a downloadable PDF. I’ve re-scanned the original artwork, taken the censorship out of it, laid it out differently, added new scenes, re-written the text, and finished the story at long last. Those of you who have been waiting sixteen years to see how the story ends will not only get to see the ending, you’ll see a better, more sensual and explicit beginning! This is some of my finest work, my magnum opus if you will, and I sincerely hope you find that it was worth the wait. Please, enjoy!

Opal is a 52-page black-and-white graphic novel rendered entirely in delicate, meticulously-shaded pencils. It is full of beautiful, sensual scenes of erotic bondage set in the exotic middle east of the 1930's.
